The Golden God award celebrates and recognises those who have significantly contributed, shaped and inspired the world of rock and metal – and few in our world fit that description more than Lemmy and the boys. They remain a true institution in British music history and follow in the footsteps of previous Golden God winners such as Iron Maiden, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie. Plus, they’ll be closing out the Biggest Party Of The Summer with a screamer of a gig, so you know it’s going to be spectacular.

At the 2013 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards next Monday (17th June) Motorhead are set receive one of the ceremonies most esteemed accolades, the Golden God Award.

Part-gig, part-awards, and all metal, there’s simply no other event like it, and with the almighty Motörhead closing proceedings, this one’s set to be the loudest ever. Horns up!”
